Facilitating Meetings

My Facilitation Style

I am specialised in facilitating meetings on the interface between negotiation settings and technical-scientific knowledge. My facilitation style tries to promote knowledge-based negotiation processes: negotiation within the limits of what is technically and scientifically realistic. It tries to avoid negotiation on the basis of fantasies or illusions.

Interests may be different, but there are limits to the interpretation of available facts. The focus of my facilitation is a common search for facts, or, if that is not reasonably achievable, a common search for an acceptable band width of their interpretation.

Although I may use different forms of visualisation and presentation techniques if and when needed, at 'my' meetings people are generally not jumping around sticking notes to posters. At the centre of the discussion or negotiation meetings is classical argumentation and debate.
